Kickstand Music Festival
With several local bands playing and some Kahoots girls in bikinis, it's not a suprise to hear that Kickstand Pub's Music Festival on Aug. 15 was a popular event. The parking lot for the Polaris-area bar wasn't nearly big enough to hold everyone, so dozens of people parked in the grass across the street.
Food was provided by Raising Cane's, W.G. Grinder's and Wunderdaug, with live performances from Evadell Drive, O*C*D, The Filthy Habits, SWAGG, DJ Matt Sexton and The Websters. In case music isn't your thing, there were other entertainment options as well. The Kahoots dancers hosted a bikini bike wash, and an "old-skool skate park" was set up to let all the skaters show off some moves.
Chris Coen, a 2009 Funny Bone Open Mic champ, was the host for the all-day event, with all proceeds from festival day going to benefit with Pets Without Parents program.
Check out all our photos of the bike-washers, skaters, musicians (we got pictures of O*C*D) and partiers at the event. After you're done, take a look at some of our other galleries from Kickstand Pub, including a UFC viewing party, a Polaris Bar Crawl and one routine Friday night.
Also, be sure to check out some of our recent galleries from around town, like Cocktails at the Conservatory or Bike Night at Quaker Steak.
