Pabst Blue Ribbon Rendezvous
While some people spent Saturday celebrating all things Ohio State, others spent the afternoon celebrating all things Pabst Blue Ribbon.
The brewing company hosted a free, all-day music event Sept. 12 in a storage facility parking lot at the corner of 2nd Avenue and High Street in the Short North, close to two of the co-sponsors Bodega and Surly Girl Saloon.
Called the PBR Rendezvous, the party featured 12 local bands—Daycreeper, Fisted Mister, Flu Faker, Monolithic Cloud Parade, Nick Tolford and Co., Periodic Table of Elephants, Shin Tower Music, State School, The Bygones, The Lindsay, The Randys and Trains Across the Sea.
Although the music was the focal point of the day, there were plenty of other attractions as well. For instance, there was a spot for you to customize your own PBR shirt, and a place for you to enter your own PBR-themed painting into their gallery. In short, it was a paradise for music lovers and PBR lovers alike.
