Inside look: Slice of Columbus

Slice of Columbus is the Super Bowl of the local pizza scene. The best of the best come here each year to compete for three awards, including the coveted People's Choice Award.
This year's event took place Sept. 9 at the LC Pavilion, with 18 local restaurants participating—A Slice of New York, Adriatico’s, Antonio’s, Boston’s, Bellacino’s, Casa di Pizza, Catalfino’s, Creno’s, Dodson’s, Donatos, Jet’s, Mellow Mushroom, Papa Joe's, Papa John's, Papa Murphy's, Romeo’s, Sparano’s and Tammy’s.

We were there to take in all the flavor of the event, which included live music and performances by a dough-tossing team, plus thousands of different pizza slices. Click through the photo gallery to see who was there with us.

Jay Bottle, John Cactus and Foodito Bandito tried slices from all 18 different restaurants, and they'll rank the pie from best to worst in the only way they know how.
