France gets a bad rap. The country often serves as the brunt of jokes, but undeservingly so. For evidence, just try this simple experiment—put the word “French” in front of any other word or phrase.
The end result is always an improvement over what you started with.
It works with everything: Toast. Bread. Kiss. President’s wife in a bikini.
Jay Bottle, John Cactus and Foodito Bandito put the theory to test, paying a recent visit to the La Chatelaine on Lane Avenue. Their mission: to see if a French bistro is better than, say, an American bistro, like Panera Bread.
