Crawl for Cancer 2010
Crawl for Cancer 2010
There's nothing better than raising money for a good cause and having fun while you're doing it. That's the basic concept behind the national Crawl for Cancer event, which hosts a Columbus outing every spring.
The 2010 version of the fundraiser took place May 29, 2010, at 13 different bars in the Arena District—Lodge Bar, Callahan's, Bar Louie, Char Bar, GasWerks, Garage Bar, Novak's, Park Street Patio, Part Street Tavern, Brother's, Gordon Biersch, R Bar and Frog Bear & Wild Boar.
Here's how it works: Teams pay an entry free ($400 for a team of 10), with proceeds going to benefit three charities—the "I'm Too Young For This" Cancer Foundation, Michelle's Fund and the American Cancer Society. In return, each team gets to drink 20 pitchers of beer at five randomly assigned bars during the course of one afternoon.
It always gets a little wild, and this year was no exception. Click through the gallery to check out some of our photos from Bar Louie, GasWerks and a few other Crawl stops.
