In addition to a solo career and time spent in other bands, Slash has gone on to be a popular guest accompanist for other performers. In 1999 he performed with Michael Jackson at a benefit concert in Munich for the Red Cross, the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
