Blake Lively named new face of Gucci fragrance

Actress Blake Lively is taking her fashion expertise from the small screen on Gossip Girl into the world of style as the new face of Gucci's upcoming fragrance Première.
"In conceiving this fragrance I was inspired by timeless Hollywood glamour and the iconic leading ladies of Hollywood's golden era," Gucci creative director Frida Giannini says in a statement. "Blake's unique style and charisma brings that allure to life in a very contemporary way."
Lively herself is thrilled to be part of the campaign for the scent, which will be released next month. "It is a pleasure to collaborate with Frida Giannini. I admire the qualities of the Gucci Première woman and feel honored to represent the fragrance."
Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn shot Lively in the Première commercial short film, which will be screened at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 1.
