Robert Blake gets ticked at Piers Morgan
Posted July 11, 2012
Robert Blake is back - and he's as feisty as ever.
The former Baretta star hasn't been seen much since he made almost daily headlines in 2002 after he was arrested for the murder of his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley. He was acquitted in 2005.
Tonight, Blake, 78, talks to Piers Morgan about his new memoir, detailing the successes and failures of both his acting career and his personal life.
When Morgan says he isn't sure if the actor was telling the truth about the events surrounding his wife's death, Blake gets ticked.
"Well, tell me where I'm lying, because if you don't know I'm telling you the truth, then you must have a little scratch in the back of your head about where I'm lying," Blake says, arms folded. He challenges Piers: "Tell me where I'm lying."
"I'm not saying you're lying," Morgan told him.
"You said I might not be telling the truth. What the hell is the difference?" Blake roars. He takes a moment, calms down and cites his "thin skin" as the reason for his quick-triggered response.
"I've never allowed anybody to ask me the questions that you're asking," Blake told him sullenly. "I allowed you to do that because I trust you. And I would have assumed that you and that guy in your ear would trust me. And if you don't, then we'd better start talking about The Little Rascals."
The interview airs at 9 p.m. on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight.
