Remember Janine Turner from 1990s show Northern Exposure?

The conservative Turner is now an author and radio show host, who is passionate about politics. And she is slated to address the Republican National Convention today in Tampa.

In fact, Janine sent us a reminder note about her appearance:

Howdy from Tampa!

Only CSPAN is having uninterrupted coverage of the convention tonight. So, tune in to CSPAN at 7:30PM EST. I'm on around 7:45PM EST/6:30PM CST. All speeches are quick, so be sure to tune in at 7:30 sharp! :) I'm in between Speaker John Boehner and Senator Rick Santorum. Pray for me;)

Joyfully,

Janine Turner

Also set to appear today: Neal E. Boyd, opera singer and winner of 2008 America's Got Talent. Boyd, who has been active in Republican Party circles for many years, announced his candidacy to fill an open seat in the newly drawn 149th District of the Missouri House of Representatives earlier this year.

And 3 Doors Down, whose 2000 song Kryptonite topped charts, will rock the convention with a premiere performance of its new single One Light. The song's lyrics pay homage to the importance of being "a strong yet humble person; about giving more than you take."

On Monday, Jon Voight was spotted at the RNC, reports Politico. Angelina Jolie's dad introduced GOP White House hopeful Mitt Romney's son Tagg at a Virginia delegation breakfast.
