Celebrities are rallying to save a Los Angeles taco eatery from closing.
On Friday, Henry's Tacos owner Janis Hood announced that the 51-year-old business would be closing because she and the landlord of the Los Angeles institution, which was nominated to be designated a historic-cultural monument a year ago, could not come to an agreement.
Turns out, a new lease would come with a higher rent for Hood, who says in a Facebook post that she believes that she angered the landlord by nominating the business for special status.
Well, some famous folks appear to be fans of Henry's Tacos, which is at the corner of Moorpark Street and Tujunga Avenue, and are tweeting about its impending closure. Among them: The Hobbit actor Elijah Wood whose original Twitter note is being retweeted by the likes of fellow actor Colin Hanks and director Paul Feig.
ActorAaron Paul (Breaking Bad) decided to go a step further with a call to the masses. He tweeted from his @aaronpaul_8 account: "We must save @HenrysTacos from closing! Come join me for lunch this Sunday at 2pm!! Join the masses and eat some tacos!! Tell your friends."
