Video: Tour a 'Star Wars' museum
Posted February 21, 2013
As someone who has been writing about Star Wars for years (and even covered a Star Wars convention or two), I'm certain that few people know or love the franchise more than Steve Sansweet.
He used to serve as Lucasfilm's head of Fan Relations, but these days he presides over Rancho Obi-Wan, a nonprofit museum in Petaluma, Calif., that houses more than 300,000 pieces of Star Wars memorabilia.
From action figures to books to set pieces, this place has it all. In a new video from Tested, Sansweet takes us on a 17-minute tour. While that may sound long, it's a compelling clip, particularly since Sansweet knows so much about the material:
Tours of Rancho Obi-Wan start at $200 for two tickets, but keep in mind they're led by Sansweet and can last up to three hours. (Honestly, if you're a die-hard fan, that doesn't sound like a bad deal.) Learn more at www.ranchoobiwan.org.
