A Sparky may not be an Oscar, but for the indie filmmakers who took their wares to this year's Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, it was the biggest honor they could get. Slamdance's award is called a Sparky and is named after a wolf dog rescued from a fetid alleyway in southeast Turkey.
