It's no secret to us Central Ohioans that Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream is probably the closest thing you'll find to tasting a piece of heaven.
Many ice cream connoisseurs in the in the rest of the state and beyond are also familiar with the creamery's homegrown delicious-ness. But now Jeni's is continuing its trek of national popularity with a mention in "Bon Appétit," a national food and entertainment magazine.
The publication named Jeni's in its story, "Best Food in the U.S.A.," which can be read at the 'Bon Appétit' Web site or in the May issue, which is on newsstands now. Also mentioned in the article were Cleveland restaurants Lola and Rocky River Brewing Company.
Jeni's has previously been recognized by The New York Times as being one of the best ice cream places in the country.
