Celebrating the Big Ten title
There's nothing better than the smell of roses. ... Well, the smell of a BCS Championship Trophy might be better, but we won't be too picky.
Ohio State made the game against Iowa closer than a lot of people expected, but when Devin Barclay kicked it through the uprights in the first overtime period, the Buckeyes clinched their fifth straight Big Ten title and—along with it—a trip to the Rose Bowl.
So for those reasons alone, it was a beautiful day. But it really was a beautiful day, even if you don't consider the game. With temperatures hovering in the '70s, Buckeye fans had no excuse not to head down to campus early for a day full of tailgating.
We were there the whole afternoon, talking to as many fans as we could. Click through our photos to see who got flashed. And if you think you're seeing a lot of hats in this gallery, you're not going crazy—we were especially interested in all the different hats people were wearing. What can we say, hats are fun.
