Enjoying the pre-game festivities at Riverwatch, Hineygate
Lane Avenue turns into a sea of scarlet and grey every time the Buckeyes have a home game, but things get the craziest when it's a night game or a showdown against a national powerhouse. So all the factors were in place for a wild day of tailgating Saturday, Sept. 12, before kickoff against USC.
Budweiser sponsored parties in the parking lots at Riverwatch Tower and the Thirsty I Tavern, which is the closest thing you'll find to Hineygate now that the Holiday Inn has been converted into a residence hall.
While the game didn't turn out the way most of us were hoping, the parties were as excellent as expected. With live music all day, and plenty of beer to go around, it would have been hard not to have fun.
Take a look at all our photos from both events, and then be sure to check out some tailgating photos from other campus parties. We also have some pictures from last week's game against Navy.
