Highball Halloween takes over High Street
Lady Gaga and the balloon boy were among the many costumes that dotted High Street on Oct. 31 for the annual Highball Halloween celebration.
The event's second year in the Short North lived up to its high-fashion-alternative-to-your-usual-gore-fest marketing scheme, turning High Street into an ultra-chic carnival that felt a little like Mardi Gras. The night featured a couture fashion show (sporting a first prize of $1,000), an amateur costume contest, plus more than double the food vendors from last year. It also looked like the crowd doubled in size from a year ago.
