Blue Jackets season finale
For the first time in franchise history, the Blue Jackets made it to the playoffs. Their first opponent—that'd be the Detroit Red Wings. Yeah, the same Red Wings who won the Stanley Cup last year for the 11th time in team history.
Welcome to the postseason, Columbus.
The first-round series begins April 16 in Detroit, with Game 3 scheduled for April 21 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
But before the playoffs can begin, the Jackets had to finish up the regular season. They did so in losing fashion, falling 6-3 to the Wild on April 11.
