Powell_Time commented on The Food Bandits raid Keystone Pub
Just to let everyone know, there won't be a new Food Bandits article this week (Dec. 14-18) because one of the Bandits is celebrating a new addition. That's right, there's a Baby Cactus out there now -- Avery Lynn Cactus, to be exact. Congrats, John.
krazykat wrote about Mozaik Lounge
Not a real tappas bar at all - more like a club that serves small plates of food. The staff isn't particularly friendly even though the two times I've been there we were one of only two couples in the place. The only good thing is that there is always seating available before a CBJ game with food and drink specials ($5). The full price food is no better in quality than the $5 food. The food is average in taste, below average in appearance and overpriced. I'd only recommend if you want to eat before a CBJ game. They have parking specials for game night, too.

RoxyGirl, this newest blog is just for you. Hopefully you enjoy hamburgers as well. ... Janguyen, thank you. Your loyalty will be rewarded in the long run. Remember that. ... Niddy, just heard the song. It was good, and the video was hilarious, but I could have some used some lyrics about the biscuits. ... Root, if I get famous, I'm taking you with me!

I have been to Cotters quite a few times over the last year, and most recently with a group of out of town visitors. I have always had a really great experience! Not only do they have really great food (LOVE the Cotters Filet!!), but their menu is really affordable. It's also a good place to take picky eaters because they such have a diverse menu. In the summer, they have live music on their patio for happy hour which is always a great time!

gardngal commented on Short North shopping guide 2009
Although it is great that you recognized the Short North as a great place to Holiday Shop and all of the shops/galleries listed are great, what would the Holiday be without a trip to Concrete Jungle (940 N. High Street). You have to have some greenery or a local-grown Christmas Tree to celebrate the season. If you don't want a tree or greenery, deck your halls with a poinsettia, Christmas cactus or holiday topiary! They have great gifts for gardener's as well!
suebeewon commented on 6. Undone Lingerie
Currently Undone is doing a buy one get one half off on their bra's, not buy one get one free. Still, a great deal...especially since what's " under" makes all the difference. Thanks for the head's up on a great place.

aubrey wrote about Hal and Al's
Hal and Al's now serves food. The same national heros who brought us Rad Dog are now serving vegan food including: fried mushrooms (freaking amazing), kielbasa corn dogs, hot dogs piled with french fries, and ....the Radneck an fried beer brat in a bun with ......mashed potatos and gravy on top!!! This place is the most wonderful, fuzzy tummy place to get vegan junk food (or if you don't like junk food...The Luna Burger on a pretzel bun).
viveeb wrote about Grand Oriental
I can like almost any Asian like cuisine -- and I understand the concept of "you get what you pay for." But this place should be closed down. I don't know if they have any health violations, but their food tastes old, overcooked, and their so-called buffet has very little choice. The place smells strongly of household cleaners, which far overwhelms any tempting food aromas that might exist. Yes -- their big asset is that there is plenty of parking, but that's because nobody wants to eat there. I've given high ratings to other restaurants that are rated low by others, but in this case I could find no redeeming value. They don't even try to make it a place you would want to come back to.
BBfan22 wrote about Sushi Ting
Sushi Ting has to be my favorite sushi restaurant in Columbus. They have a HUGE selection of rolls and their entrees are amazing. The servers and sushi chefs are very friendly. They have a lunch special that can't be beat: 2 sushi rolls with your choice of soup or salad for $5.99. Their Spicy Miso soup is the best miso soup in town!
