In a time where Family owned restaurants are an endangered species, and several of our favorite local pizzerias have been run out or bought out of business by the big chains, The Pizza House still stands strong. They have been making the best pizza using the same recipes for the past 50 years. Generations of families have made it their favorite place to eat, because of the great food and "family style" atmosphere.

Yeah, the VIP thing can be frustrating if you've already waited in line for three hours only to see others go in first. Not sure who those VIP people are. Maybe they pay more or something. The beers are a bit pricey, but that seems to be the norm at all concert venues these days, except for smaller bars like Skully's or something. I do like the fact that it's indoor/outdoor, but I know what you're saying.
jlpettibone wrote about Lifestyle Communities Pavilion
I hate the LC for indoor concerts. We stood in line for 3 hours to be in the front row at the Bob Dylan concert only to have 75 people with VIP seating admitted 15 minutes ahead of us. I am totally disappointed in the LC. Also $5.25 for a beer is ridiculous. I will probably never return to the LC again. It was not at all any fun! As a matter of fact, it sucked! I read the notice that no cameras were allowed so I had someone take my camera to my car only to find that tons of people were taking picutres! YUCK. I hate the LC for indoor concerts. I didn't have this problem in the summer outside,or I would have not gone back.

I had dinner there last night. The food was great! start with the tableside guacamole!! The margaritas were the best i have had in the area, and the service was excellent. I highly suggest a visit to Cantina Laredo to anyone seeking a great dining experience.

Definitely a place you have to check out if your in the area. The restaurant speaks for itself and the prices are moderate. I'll be back again.

Waste of money. I went with 3 people and we were extremely disappointed. So were the 7-8 people in front of us and the 5-6 people in back of us. This is advertised as "state of the art special effects", "hollywood grade costumes and actors". Ummm... not even close. Look at the pics. Check out the Walmart wigs and makeup. There were NO special effects. NONE!! The "actors" were lame and their idea of being scary is to walk up to you and yell in your face. Not pop out and yell... but slowly walk up to you from 10 feet away and then yell. I was embarrassed to take my friends to this place. We all left feeling ripped off. Notice the scary girl in the pics with the eye glasses on. I guess zombies need eye glasses. Notice some of the masks don't cover enough so you can see the "actors" plain skin. Wow! Hollywood costumes, eh? What a joke.

Where do I begin? Hmmmmmm. The food was very bland and cold. The server was rude when I asked her for an additional menu for my friend and treated us like we were nobody special. Very pompous and uppity-up clientele, which was very sparce. They had TV's, but they were not turned on. Hello? We are a sports town. We will not be back. What a waste of space.
Nubian330 wrote about Genji Japanese Steakhouse
Genji's is a ok place if you never have a problem with service or food. "The customer is always right" does NOT exist at Genji's. Anytime there is a problem you're just screwed the managers argue with you about your experience and the staff just blames the managers. I would NOT recommend Genji's they're over priced anyway and there are a ton of other "Japanese Steak Houses" in Columbus that serve the EXACT same thing. Genji's is too full of themselves they think they can treat their customers any kind of way and get away with it lets send a message to them that they need to respect the customer and realize we keep them in business!

Can't wait to see it. It's nice to have a regional theatre challenge themselves like this. I have read the play and it's dark, involved, intense, and wonderful.

Kathleen Madigan's right! Things were much better when Ross Perot was running for office. (Of course, I don't really remember Ross Perot, I just remember Dana Carvey's impersonation of Ross Perot on SNL.)

fatula wrote about Sugar Bar
Ok so the Club itself is a pretty nice place. Like any other club it is completely shoulder to shoulder with people, and the music is decent. The prices are pretty much the same as other bars in the arena district, but a bit more expensive. My issue that made this a bad experience for me was the bartenders. The first drink I got was $3, so I gave the girl $4 making it a $1 tip. Now that's roughly a 33% tip. About 5 minutes later I went back to the same bartender to get another beer. I walked up to an empty bar that had 2 bartenders. The girl that had first helped me was just standing there, and helping other people as they walked up. Finally she get's me a beer, and again I tip $1. About 30 minutes later I go back to the same girl and the same thing happens again, she helps everyone else then about 10 minutes later helps me, but this time she says "You know why I took so long to serve you? Because your a $hitty tipper" . So she asks what I want and it was a vodka and cranberry. She makes it, of course she was nice enough to put maybe a half a shot of vodka in it, if that, and then tells me $6. Now at this point I had about 4 cranberry and vodkas from different bartenders and it it was $5, so basically she upped the price and was gonna pocket the extra cash, so I give her $6 exactly and I can't even believe I did that. I then went back later to get another drink and she refused to serve me. Now this whole time I was not rude to this person or anything. I think I tipped EXTREMELY fair for popping a cap off of a bottle. I will never go back here again just for the simple fact that the bartenders can tell you whether or not your tips are good enough for them, and they can just up the price of the drinks to cover the "difference". My advise is go to a bar/club someplace else, like Brothers.

Food was a major waste. The calamari was very rubbery and cold when it was served to my friends and I. the server proclaimed that " they are served like that and sometimes they just get cold." really?? nice way to take care of your customers. and what exactly is this place striving to be? Lounge, Club, Egotistical Hangout. the latter is what i presume it to be. don't waste your time on this place. at least not the food. unless you want overpriced garbage while enjoying the ambience of a pseudo-nightclub. better luck next time, but you didn't fool myself or my friends.
shosh wrote about Basi Italia
I was quite hopeful when driving up to and going into Basi because it has a very charming hole in the wall look to it. I applaud the owners for giving it a nice cozy atmosphere, but in our case looks were deceiving. The wine list seemed pretty extensive, and we enjoyed both of our selections. For starters, my girlfriend has the wedge salad, which was average--nothing particularly special--while I had a decent tomato soup with some balsamic drizzle that gave it a nice sweetness. From here, the food all went downhill. My girlfriend had the eggplant parm which was lukewarm, undercooked (hard everywhere), soggy, and dripping from the oily pesto and excessive balsamic drizzle. I had the lobster with a very watery tomato-vodka sauce and overcooked linguine. The lobster was decent, but not enough to make up for the rest of the plate. It also seemed that microgreens and pea shoots were on sale the week we went, because both of our plates were covered with them as garnish. After the dismal entrees, we didn't want to risk anything further with desserts. I don't think I would have been as disappointed if the dinner didn't run on the wrong side of $70. Overall, I would suggest trading the ambiance to save your money by going to Olive Garden.
Powell_Time commented on Enjoying the pre-game festivities at Riverwatch, Hineygate
I thought there was supposed to be a new Hineygate just next to the old one, that was essentially the same thing. Maybe it's completely different. I'm going to the game against Illinois on Saturday, and I need to plan my pre-gaming. I guess I'll stay away from the corner of Ackerman and Olentangy.

We returned the dried rotisserie chicken only to exchange for lamb schwarma that tasted and looked like shredded beef and not a good one! the veggies were loaded with salt. Tabouleh salad was a plate full of chopped parsley coverd in oil-YUCK!! And the little, should I say petite side salad was pathetic. Two full meals we dumped in the garbage-- Of course, we did clear our own table! On some positive note, the decor was cheerful
ChronicJohn commented on Enjoying the pre-game festivities at Riverwatch, Hineygate
You mean the one where the Danger Bros moved to on Ackerman and Olentangy? It was weird. We went up there and I think I heard crickets and a guy coughing in the back of the room. Plus some tumbleweed.
