Most O.A.R. fans in Central Ohio know all about the band's ties to Columbus. Although the group claims Rockville, Md., as its official home, this is where O.A.R. got its start, forming while all five members were attending Ohio State.

The jam band even has a song about our city called "Road Outside Columbus."

The group has come a long way from playing house shows and free concerts on campus. The June 11 show outside at the LC Pavilion was packed, with tickets priced at more than $40 apiece.

Lead singer Marc Roberge didn't shy away from the group's C-bus connections during the band's show, calling Columbus a "second home" for the band and dedicating the song "I Feel Home" to our city.

Although O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) went in more of a pop direction with its latest album, "All Sides," the band still jams out during its live shows, with extended solos to keep the crowd dancing.
