Dive into your seafood dining experience at the Columbus Fish Market with one of their tempting appetizers. The appetizer selections include pan-roasted wild blue mussels, New Orleans voodoo barbeque shrimp, seared Hawaiian Ahi tuna and a colossal shrimp cocktail ($7.95 to $13.95). After waking up your taste buds try the oyster selections of the day on the half shell. You can try the different varieties independently or get one of the samplers and try them all.
Classic seafood soups are available in a cup or bowl including the Little Neck clam chowder and Maine lobster bisque. The salad selection includes their famous house salad, served with carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, dates, pine nuts and poppy seed vinaigrette, and a blackened salmon spinach salad ($14.95).
The steaks and shellfish portion of the menu features their Cold Water Rock lobster tail, a 6-ounce South African lobster tail ($25.50), Alaskan red king crab legs ($28.95 per pound) and their New York strip, a 14-ounce hand cut of steak smothered in béarnaise sauce ($28.95). Each dish is served with a sea salt baked potato and asparagus, and patrons have the option to add something a little extra to their steak or fish dishes such as having it prepared Oscar Style (smothered with crab and hollandaise) or with a half pound of Alaskan Red King crab legs.
In addition to the Today's Fresh Catch selections, which can be prepared in their signature Shang Hai fashion-steamed with fresh ginger and scallions, served with sticky rice, spinach and rice wine soy sauce -simply grilled, boiled or blackened, there are numerous chef specialties featured on the menu. From their Tabasco garlic shrimp to the pumpkin seed-crusted tilapia and the Chesapeake Bay jumbo lump crab cakes. The chef specialties round out the seafood offerings with a flavorful flair ($15.50 to $23.95).
If you can't make up your mind, or want to try a little bit of this with a little bit of that, the "Seafood Combinations" are ideal. "Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp" features garlic broiled, beer-battered and barbeque bacon-wrapped shrimp, while the "Fish Market Trio" includes blackened tilapia, cedar-roasted Atlantic salmon, Shang Hai sea scallops, shrimp and Andouille jambalaya rice with asparagus.
