Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, part of Columbus’ Short North Arts District, is one of the best places in the country to get the frozen treat — at least according to The New York Times. The small ice cream shop, which prides itself on homemade ice cream and sorbet, landed a nod from the international newspaper. But if you can’t take the newspaper’s word for it, stop by or order online by the pint. Judging by how packed the business is every weekend, you won't be disappointed. And though there are nearly 30 flavors to choose from, pay close attention to Jeni’s Signature 9, which includes the scrumptious-sounding Dark Cocoa Gelato and Pistachio & Ashland County Honey.
