Food: Quaker Steak & Lube is all about the wings, burgers and ribs, but there are some surprisingly healthy combinations, including delicious salads, soups and grilled wings with your choice of sauce and a generous side of steamed broccoli and toasted pita bread. You won't have any problems finding a sauce you like from the extensive list. If you love hot and spicy foods, you'll have to try the "atomic" sauce, which is so hot you have to sign a release form before you eat it. Seriously.

If you prefer, you can even mix sauces to come up with your own perfect combination.

Aside from the wings, some famous menu items include an appetizer of baked onion rings and soft pretzels, deep-fried pickles, half-pound burgers made with your choice of toppings, the boneless chicken wrap, a sesame chicken rice bowl and baby back ribs. You can find a complete menu and allergen information at Quaker Steak's Web site.

Libations: Quaker Steak & Lube features a full bar to quench your thirst, plus Pepsi products, root beer, iced tea, coffee and lemonade. Several specialty drinks are featured on the menu, including the romantic "Captain's Colada"  made with Captain Morgan's rum and Island Oasis piña colada served with a freshly cut rose.

Décor: There's no shortage of things to look at in this restaurant. From the moment you walk through the door, there are TVs, games, cars and bikes crashing through the walls and hanging from the ceilings. The general theme is Nascar-inspired with a nod to 1950's American diners. Some of the decorations are nothing short of artistic, and you have to be impressed and entertained, even if Nascar isn't your cup of tea. This is a themed eatery at its best, and the quality is visible in the detail and attention paid to the décor.

Crowd: You'll see people of all ages eating at any given time, and there are plenty of tables available in the various sections of the restaurant—each with their own look. You can sit in the bar room if you prefer a bustling atmosphere, but you can just as easily get some peace and quiet in another area of the restaurant, especially after dinner hours.

Service: Meals arrived quickly, drinks were refilled promptly, and our server was friendly and efficient. We loved the individually packaged Twizzlers we got at the end of our meal—so much better than those peppermints you get everywhere else.

Bottom line: This is a fun place to eat with some great menu options, so don't be deterred by the theme if you're not into cars. There's something for everyone here, and you'll be entertained by the atmosphere.
