Powell_Time commented on The Food Bandits raid Keystone Pub

Just to let everyone know, there won't be a new Food Bandits article this week (Dec. 14-18) because one of the Bandits is celebrating a new addition. That's right, there's a Baby Cactus out there now -- Avery Lynn Cactus, to be exact. Congrats, John.

I have been to Cotters quite a few times over the last year, and most recently with a group of out of town visitors. I have always had a really great experience! Not only do they have really great food (LOVE the Cotters Filet!!), but their menu is really affordable. It's also a good place to take picky eaters because they such have a diverse menu. In the summer, they have live music on their patio for happy hour which is always a great time!

I can like almost any Asian like cuisine -- and I understand the concept of "you get what you pay for." But this place should be closed down. I don't know if they have any health violations, but their food tastes old, overcooked, and their so-called buffet has very little choice. The place smells strongly of household cleaners, which far overwhelms any tempting food aromas that might exist. Yes -- their big asset is that there is plenty of parking, but that's because nobody wants to eat there. I've given high ratings to other restaurants that are rated low by others, but in this case I could find no redeeming value. They don't even try to make it a place you would want to come back to.

Sushi Ting has to be my favorite sushi restaurant in Columbus. They have a HUGE selection of rolls and their entrees are amazing. The servers and sushi chefs are very friendly. They have a lunch special that can't be beat: 2 sushi rolls with your choice of soup or salad for $5.99. Their Spicy Miso soup is the best miso soup in town!

They have a huge selection of rolls and it is one of the few sushi places in Columbus that stay open all day. On Tuesdays they have 50% off most of their rolls from 5pm - 10pm!!

Yay for Food Bandits and their inside info: where to pay...where to put your tray after eating... where to locate numourous references to Mr. Hasselhoff in a Speedo... Hilarious, Bandits. Can't wait to read about your next raid!

In a time where Family owned restaurants are an endangered species, and several of our favorite local pizzerias have been run out or bought out of business by the big chains, The Pizza House still stands strong. They have been making the best pizza using the same recipes for the past 50 years. Generations of families have made it their favorite place to eat, because of the great food and "family style" atmosphere.

I had dinner there last night. The food was great! start with the tableside guacamole!! The margaritas were the best i have had in the area, and the service was excellent. I highly suggest a visit to Cantina Laredo to anyone seeking a great dining experience.

Definitely a place you have to check out if your in the area. The restaurant speaks for itself and the prices are moderate. I'll be back again.

Nubian330 wrote about Genji Japanese Steakhouse

Genji's is a ok place if you never have a problem with service or food. "The customer is always right" does NOT exist at Genji's. Anytime there is a problem you're just screwed the managers argue with you about your experience and the staff just blames the managers. I would NOT recommend Genji's they're over priced anyway and there are a ton of other "Japanese Steak Houses" in Columbus that serve the EXACT same thing. Genji's is too full of themselves they think they can treat their customers any kind of way and get away with it lets send a message to them that they need to respect the customer and realize we keep them in business!

shosh wrote about Basi Italia

I was quite hopeful when driving up to and going into Basi because it has a very charming hole in the wall look to it. I applaud the owners for giving it a nice cozy atmosphere, but in our case looks were deceiving. The wine list seemed pretty extensive, and we enjoyed both of our selections. For starters, my girlfriend has the wedge salad, which was average--nothing particularly special--while I had a decent tomato soup with some balsamic drizzle that gave it a nice sweetness. From here, the food all went downhill. My girlfriend had the eggplant parm which was lukewarm, undercooked (hard everywhere), soggy, and dripping from the oily pesto and excessive balsamic drizzle. I had the lobster with a very watery tomato-vodka sauce and overcooked linguine. The lobster was decent, but not enough to make up for the rest of the plate. It also seemed that microgreens and pea shoots were on sale the week we went, because both of our plates were covered with them as garnish. After the dismal entrees, we didn't want to risk anything further with desserts. I don't think I would have been as disappointed if the dinner didn't run on the wrong side of $70. Overall, I would suggest trading the ambiance to save your money by going to Olive Garden.

We returned the dried rotisserie chicken only to exchange for lamb schwarma that tasted and looked like shredded beef and not a good one! the veggies were loaded with salt. Tabouleh salad was a plate full of chopped parsley coverd in oil-YUCK!! And the little, should I say petite side salad was pathetic. Two full meals we dumped in the garbage-- Of course, we did clear our own table! On some positive note, the decor was cheerful

I found this gem quite by accident, could use a sign by the road. Anyway once inside it was very busy but I was seated without much wait. Since the first visit my family and I have been back many times, I highly recommend it
