BonoToGo is a pro at serving Italian-style pizza cooked to imperfect perfection in a wood-fired brick oven. Everything from the dough to the tomato sauce is handmade here and the freshest toppings, including gooey mozzarella, zesty basil and imported ham, are sparsely applied to their irregularly shaped hand-tossed pies—just like in Italy. Bono has been floating around Columbus for years—previously located in the Short North out of the Eleni Christina bakery—they have found a new home in the back of the Corner Market, a liquor store in Upper Arlington on Northwest Boulevard. While this may seem like an usual location for an ardently authentic pizza parlor, for Bono it makes perfect sense and the enthusiastic customers don't seem to mind, ourselves included. For a true taste of Italy, and a pizza dressed to impress with all your favorite ingredients, it's worth the journey to seek out this sensational shop.
