  • A Columbus staple since the late 1940s, according to its Web site, The Clarmont was a bustling must on the weekends during the heyday of the Clarmont Hotel. Now the upscale, white-tablecloth eatery offers a high-class escape. And the menu still has that classic edge, including oysters Rockefeller and escargot. Finely made steaks, fish and chicken dishes round out the menu, but at an average of $22 a plate — and that’s not including the drinks — you may want to reserve The Clarmont for those sporadic, special date night occasions.
